mk2 scirocco...so 2200 pounts roughly I think.

Grr...currently my best route is to use my mk1 jetta with the towing
adapter that Mark whipped up on his mk1 scirocco.
In which case I'm going to be straining that poor little car
But I think it could handle it but I use to towing with a big heavy
vehicle that will actually force the trailer to follow.
