Wow, I seem to have the same problem w/ koni yellow sports on the front.
I just keep eating them (with ample bumpstops, too).

Cant wait to get my pss9's on next spring.

Yes you can me The Bilstein Slayer.  I have officially blown yet another
Bilstein Sport on my Jetta :(  Sux!

For the record:
98 Jetta GT 2.0L
Mk2 H&R Race springs (with one dead coil cut at all 4 corners)

1 x Mk2 Neuspeed Bilstein Sport front strut - dead
2 x Mk2 Bilstein Sport rear shox - dead
1 x Mk3 Bilstein Sport rear shock - dead

This sucks.  I'm sending back the latest dead rear shock for warranty. 
Hopefully there's no probs.  They just aren't tough enough for the H&R
Race springs.  Even our 94 Golf with stock springs & Boge Turbo Gas has
less bounce in the rear than my Jetta.  I think i might buy some Koni
Yellows for the rear & stimulate them to full stiffness.  My Bilstein
Sport rears will probably be for sale once all the warranty stuff is
done.  Does anyone have a place with good pricing on Koni Yellows?
