I'm totally not impressed with Bilstein's rear shox.  I bought two brand
new Mk3 Bilstein Sport rear shox and installed them and they bounced as
soon as i lowered my Jetta off the jack.  I was quite pissed...not to
mention $400 poorer.  I knew it was just a matter of time before one of
them blew.  The driver's side lasted me exactly one year...i installed
them last Nov.  The passenger side is still going but it can't be much
longer before it blows too.  I think the real problem is that Bilstein
uses the same valving for the HD and the Sports...the only diff is the
Sport is 1" shorter.  That's just dumb.  Maybe it's my own fault for
trying to run Sport shox with Race springs.  I wonder how much Bilstein
Race shox go for?

Thanks for the contact...is he in Canada?  I'm still a bit hesitant to go
with Koni...just because i can get the Bilsteins replaced under warranty. 
Changing to Koni means spending another $400-$500 and crossing my fingers
that they're stiff enough.  Argh...i shoulda just dropped the cash in the
beginning and gone with H&R Ultra-low Coilovers.  That would have been
sooooo much less headaches.
