i did take the front bar out of my vr6. turn-in and
grip is noticable better, despite the increased
bodyroll. the car rotates better overall (28mm rear
bar, shocks on full stiff in the rear).
i'm not sure if i believe the mk1 will have the same
advantage taking out the front bar. assumption here is
that you're not adding ANY tie-bars in the front. i
just dont think the car is stiff enough from the
factory. mk3's, although fucking pigs in comparison,
are much, much stiffer.
all measurements taken by russells auto-x butt dyno.
expect more mk1 testing this coming season. (on
235/45/13 hoosiers---booya!)
