RE: [VWoT] PlayStation X
These guys (http://www.digital-mods.net/chips.htm ) just did mine this
weekend. Got the Executor 2.6. Cost me $100. They installed the mod
chip and an 80 gig HD, as well as the dashboard and a crapload of
emulators (but no games, that's illegal).
They were pretty good, drop off the xbox, pick it up the next day. Has
switches to turn off the mod, and pretty flashing lights.
I'm getting it loaded up with games today from a guy at work.
Only reason I got an Xbox was Burnout 3... The only downside to the
modding is that I lost all my progress (I was at about 60% of the game),
so that was a big pissoff.

Any moron can upgrade an XBOX. Solder like 3 wires and you're done. Took
my friend 10 mins (course, he mods PS2s). If you are not a
solder-master,
just take it somewhere. You won't wait long ;)
Take the PS2 to Pacific Mall or something and get it done. I can ask my
friend where to take it.

There is a PSX that is a home entertainment 'appliance' - basically a
dvd
burner, ps2, etc... but it was too damned expensive!
New PS2 (small ass supercool one):

Good question. Do a search on the net for "PS2 Hard drive" and see what
you get. I don't know a thing about it. Perhaps if you do mod it you can
put whatever you want in it... I'm sure the modding sites will help you.
BTW, there are many chips for PS2 + XBOX. Make sure you evaluate what
they
do before you choose. Some are better than others!
