RE: [VWoT] question about 1.8 16v head vs 2.0
Well well well, it is really surprising what this simple question has
become. I ended up just winning the 50mm intake for now. Got it for $90
euros.
Finally got some action on this forum again. It was really beginning to
get quiet.

yes and no, gare. sash makes about 220 to the
wheels in his 2.0 16V, but it's good for about 6
hours, then its time for a rebuild.
what kind of longevity are we talking about with
vanstone's car, lee?
> a vr or a 1.8t with less work...?
agreed. but i do agree with sunn's sentiments
regarding NA power. i love the instantaneous
power delivery of NA. revving the nuts off them
is pure pornographic pleasure.
don't get me wrong, i love forced induction, cuz
they are retarded fast and make some
junk-movingly good noises. but to hear a set of
stoopid cams clunk away to 7500rpm is a gift from
god.
> how abundant and cheap are NA 20V's over there
rare as fuck, i think. when i was there, i
managed to find one in a wrecking yard not far
from luton. i didn't see one pass thru the shop
during the 7-8 months that i was there.
strangely, i had a guy come into work on friday
who was from australia, but had driven up with
friends from philly. he came in looking for a
MAF meter for an AGN coded mk4. i told him that
north america didn't see that particular engine,
so he was up the creek . i did, however, sell
him one for an AEG 2.0L instead. $88 is all it
cost. i figure that it's worth a shot, cuz the
one he needed is worth AU$1000!!
