Re: [VWoT] Anybody? Now Subbie
I think I've moved away from VW a bit because I was bored with what
they were offering.
I'm the same. I think I'll stop at the mk4. The mk5/6 really don't
appeal to me at all. They're too big and heavy now.
After living with the Subie for a while it's nice to have a car doesn't
need to be wrenched on or develops a new leak once a month. Everything
in the Forester still works. All the options are functional. This is
how it's supposed to be.
At the time I felt like Subaru wasn't afraid to take chances and offer
a car that enthusiasts wanted (ie a rally car for the street).
Yep, they not only gave us the WRX but also the STI. Meanwhile, VW
won't bring an AWD Golf/Jetta to Canada....but offers it to the states.
I don't get it. I'm quickly becoming indifferent to VW's offerings.
I'll always enjoy the older models but have no interest in maintaining
them for daily driving.
I drove it in summer (it had winter tires on) and I was sold. I paid
$2000 more than the 01 Golf 4-Door 1.8T I was looking at but I got
soooo much more with the WRX.
How do you find the 'feedback' with the WRX? This is really the only
thing keeping me in german cars. I haven't found a Japanese brand with
the same driving 'feel' yet. They're almost there, but not quite.
