RE: [VWoT] Anybody?
I am not sure what the difference with gas mileage is between the two
transmissions or what the gearing difference is. That automatic seems like a
good one because it can be serviced easily (therefore more often). Mine
seems to be geared similarly to a MK3 2.0L, just like my A4 1.8TQ was as
well. I wish it revved a little less on the highway but it's ok. Maybe I can
swap in a STI transmission with a 6 speed and the differential control too
:)

Yes, I'm aware of the difference with the auto tranny. Not my first
choice but it's my wife's car. Seems to work well though. I've
climbed a few large snowbanks with it no prob :) Has lots of traction
during snow storms as well. You think it would get worse gas mileage
with the manual?
