Re: [VWoT] Audi oil burning

I must argee, my wife's Elantra has been very reliable since new. definitely NOT an exciting car to drive, but good fuel consumption and cheap and easy to maintain, regular maintenance and repairs have been MUCH easier to access than any other car I've worked on. only repairs have been expected wear and tear items at average mileage, battery, brakes, tie rod ends, tires, and light bulbs. My Jetta has more things wrong with it right now at the same age and with close to the same mileage.

I don't think there was initially any talk about a sporty car. If sporty then yes Evo or sti.

I meant in general the Koreans are very good contenders with the japs.

K man knows what im talking about...had an STI come around atthe right price i would be driving one. There is no Korean car that causes half reaction as an EVO8 nevermind the EVO 10. Korean cars are a cheap substitute for Japanese cars.

Buying a Genisis really just means you cant afford an 7 or S...your not fooling all of us.

I would think it is on the customer if Audi has run their oil consumptio=

J-rod told me a while back when i got the mkv, that it's really really d=
ifficult to get a new motor as a result of this issue unless the consumptio=

the allowable consumption limit is it seems you'll pretty much be stuck hav=

the onus is still on the vehicle owner to check oil level between change=

One would think emissions etc would suffer from that volume.

So I have a buddy here at work who has a 2 year old A4. He's
currently burning 1L of oil per 2000km. He's talked to Audi, and the=

tell him this is perfectly normal.

What do you smart people think? that sounds excessive to me...
